My first concert was the old Mothers opening for the Vanilla Fudge. The Mothers included Buzz Gardner and Lowell George. This is the show ( Mar 1 or 2 ,1969  Westbury NY ) that Frank has mentioned, where some bozo was yelling "you guys stink bring on the fudge!" The Mothers were real good and the Fudge were lousy...

I love when you say the Fudge were lousy! It has such a nice ring to it.<br>The first concert I saw was the Kinks at Madison Square Garden in 1979. It seemed to be the coolest thing ever at the time. I'm sure if I heard it now I might not think so.

Genesis 1978. The band, which doesn't exist anymore, played in a hall, that was demolished in the 90's.

Just recalled: Few people would classify Gruppo as rock, it's more of a circus-y ska pop. If you only consider the ballsy stuff you can't dance to: my first rock concert happened when I was 7: Faith No More on Parkpop.
Okay, we were only there for the group that came afterwards, and those wankers only played two songs because the sound was so miserable... But the first rock group I saw live was Faith No More.

First far out rock show: The James Gang, probably 68 or 69. Great show!

Frank Zappa in Milano, Italy, 1984, in a sport arena that crashed the next year due to heavy snow.
