A really good one I like is:

Capo Santa Monica, California. Cool Tuscan farmhouse in converted surf shop with wood burning grill.

The Keg Steakhouse ~ it doesn't get any better than this, unless you don't like steak
Ramies ~ great Greek food...went there last night for my Mother's B-day
Olympia ~ more great Greek food
Vera's ~ son of more great Greek food
Zeeks Pizza ~ return of the son of great Greek food...before the Rush concert in Seattle in November last year
Zefferilli's ~ excellent Italian food
The Spaghetti Factory ~ good for B-day parties
Bino's ~ SUPER cheap and it's like a trucker stop type diner...but has surprisingly better than average food

It is a cafe, and its location is the east.

My B-Day is next weekend, so among other things I'm gonna get some shrimp at Lawrence's Fisheries:

Its in a warehouse districe on the south side of Chicago between Pilsen, Chinatown, and Bridgeport. Few tables, mostly carry-out, but open late night and the best fried shrimp around imo.

At first glance I though I read 'Lawrence Fishburne's'.

Spanish Pavilion, in Harrison NJ, about 45 mins from my house. I occasionally dine there with some ex-work buddies.

It was once featured on Gordon Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares. Interestingly, we thought it was great before the show and not-so-great after the makeover. They've since returned to many of their original menu items, making it great once again.

Chicken in garlic (on the bone) to die for.

In New Orleans, home of the best food I've ever tasted, try Patout's and Antoinnes. Both serve Cajun food at it's very best. Go in the spring when it's crawfish season. OMG! Earlier in the day, got to Brennan's for breakfast and Casamentos for lunch.....

That qualifies as a "restaurant"? Looks more like an ugly railway station or something. You must live in some serious mess over there. ;-)

I hear the food ain't too shabby...

A few years ago we were in Anchorage, Alaska. Somehow we ended up at Applebee's. After looking over the menu, I asked the waiter if they had anything without bacon. He said "Well, the dinner salad only has a little."

We left...
