GOD DAMN YOU, PETER JACKSON! First you butcher the writing of J.R.R. Tolkien, NOW you're going to butcher one of the greatest films of all time Gaaah! I hope this film flops! That CGI monkey isn't the REAL Kong -- THIS is the real KONG:

I hear what you're saying about the original King Kong, Isaac, but that new promo photo looks great. Way better than any of the other Kongs that have followed since the first one. I don't know how good the movie itself will be, but that's a powerful promo image. Total rage and alienation.

How dare you insult Max Fleischer! All of the old Betty Boop shorts combined were better than Peter Jackson's butchering of Tolkien!

The Walrus wins easily -- the animation's better.

Eddie, are you kidding?

Traditional animation will NOT die out! With fantastic traditional efforts like The Triplettes of Belleville and Ralph Bakshi's upcoming Last Days of Coney Island (GREAT buzz on that one), and weak CGI efforts like Shark Tale and the upcoming Chicken Little (pretty bad buzz on that one), I think that traditional animation will be around for a long time to come. 8)

Trust me -- there's going to be a big resurgance in traditional animation in the next few years. The art will not die out. You can't replace all of the heart and soul of hand-drawn animation with the coldness of CGI. Traditional animation will once again make a huge impact of the film industry, and it's going to be great. 8)

Peter Jackson did a great job of Tolkiens crummy tale. And he will flog the shit out of the original and super lame King Kong. He is the best film maker in the world. Way better than Kubrick. Word on the street is Jackson is set to remake 2001...I bet he makes it 1000x better than the original flop by Kubrick.
So, with CGI, there are no humans involved? The computers write the plots and generate the graphics at random? There's bad CGI just like there's bad traditional animation. It all depends on who's using the tools. This reminds me of the same tired arguments against Jazz From Hell.
