I reccommend Brazil, that's a pretty crazy movie. Amadeus is pretty cool, too.

The Chronological Donald vol I: all Donald Duck films from 1934 to 1941! Plus a few scenes from The Reluctant Dragon and a Clarence Nash documentary. Only minor point: Leonard Maltin.

the illusionist

edward norton makes a pretty remarkable performance as a magician in vienna, austria, in the early 1900's.

romance, corruption, politics, and... magic! 8)

I was a bit disappointed in this one, not enough to recommend against it though.

well, it doesn't hurt to mention that movie more than once.

this film talks about something that is much more frightening than terrorists or a world war III-threat.

not too bad. fun movie. 8)

and guess who showed up last in the credits (I tend to read those...):

bruce and walt fowler. among the musicians playing the original music for the movie.

and the music was really good too.

Took a while, but finally made it through "Get Smart -The Complete Series". A veritable treasure trove of politically incorrect (now-a-days) humour.

Enter Detective Harry Hoo, with a rack of several white suits....
MAX: How come all your suits are exactly the same?
HOO: Beg to differ. All have different styles.
MAX: Oh. Well, I guess all Chinese suits look alike to me."

i had'nt seen any of michael apted's other documentaries on the same group of english kids, done every 7 years, starting at aged 7. fascinating stuff. i may yet go back and watch some of the earlier ones. should be shown in classrooms. most excellent.

currently watching f**k, a funny history of everyone's favorite word. many famous talking heads--so far, no george carlin--which i think is a crime. although billy connely is pretty hilarious.

billy's name is connolly--btw. nayway, there was a whole section on george carlin hisself..he was not able to give an interview, however. i'm talking of the movie f*ck(see my other post). very funny and thought-provoking film. just watched the comedians of comedy with patton oswalt, brian poeshn, zach gallikanaks ( i can't remember how to spell his name), and a female comic i don't recall her name, sorry. many times i had to put my hand over my mouth so i would'nt wake up anyone in the house (nightowl me) because i was laughing so hard! great comedy tour movie. i finally watched borat last night, and had my hands i front of my fce not covering it for fear, but "oh-no-he's-not-going-to-is-he?" moments. very, very hil-ar-ious!
