Also I do believe people are seeing too much in death threats nowadays. I've had several. Why? Oooh... let's see... not liking Gabby Lala, having a website... of course my Donald Duck drawings which are a menace obviously... You're vulnerable to anonymous threats as soon as you are in a chatbox, on a forum, on a social network or have your e-mail address available online.

Dweezil started this whole downloads fiasco just to screw with Apotheosis.
You do know that he's the one that has multible id's on DZW and here.On DZW as William & Meglos he has totally gone bonkers with the lies about his family dieing while "waiting for the download".Then it became downloads, plural. How should one respond to a supposed fan who thinks he can get it faster if he insults and threatens you and the band? Would you give in and take the easy way out and slip him a FOH copy or make the downloads just as DZ said he would? I have no reason to doubt DZ,but I really doubt this guy,William(Bill real name)=Diezil Dummy=Arch Obolar=Darn Accordians=ect. on Zappa.com and William & Meglos on DZW and who knows how many other alias' he has.How can you believe or even care about this lop? Read his review of The Crest show. It's more about me than DZpZ.If he can't think of anything to say,he manually repeats my posts. Or check out the El Rey show reviews*.He wasn't even there, but threatend to be at every show. What he sent to DZ is anybody's guess, but mine would be it pissed DZ off. (made him mad) But none of that matters, what really matters is,you don't like Gabby Lala! You must be the only one ever not to like the Lala!
I'm sittin' on my Lala,
Waiting for my ya-ya,
Uh huhuh....uh huhuh,
Well,I'm sitting on my Lala,
Waiting for my ya-ya,
Uh huhuh...uh huhuh,
I don't think she's coming,
Less she be a runnin'
Uh uhuh...uh uhuh.
Is that the same Lala I know!?

Yer safe on that one. But, remember The Dweez has put himself into the public eye, and if he allows his anger to dictate/colour what he says when everyone is listening, then people he isn't talking about will think he means them, too.
And, after all (all together now)...

"You say you can't live with what you've been through
Well, musicians you can be an asshole too
You might pretend you ain't got one on the bottom of you..."

I don't like Dweezil much either. For me, it's about his three year whining about folks complaining about his promised downloads, as well as his nasty attitude about certain cover bands (culminating in the petulant frenzy when he discovered that a certain leader of one of those bands was backstage [legitimately] at a festival ZPZ was playing).

I think Dweezil is an incredible guitarist when with ZPZ; how many players can play that stuff as accurately as he does? But his own music and his own non-FZ style leaves me cold. So, he's a great technician but not a really creative soloist, imo.

Ronny's Noomies,do you know who it was back stage? I don't believe I've heard that story.Like when and what happend and what festival? I don't get why any cover band would make anyone upset.Isn't immitation the best compliment one can pay? There's also other guitarist that are in other cover bands, that are posting their songs on his site! What's up with that then? That's very hypocritical if true. It's going on 20 yrs.now that FZ's been gone and the best way to keep his music alive is to encourage people to play it and for free! I'd still pay to see DZpZ. Did FZ ever pay the BeaTles,Led Zepplin or The Allman Bros.when he used their songs? :?
Edit: Thanx jpd. :) I'll try and remember that.
Don't fool yourself dude he's winkin' at you!
Thats when I say,
ram it,ram it,
ram it up your guitar playin' poopchute. {-

I believe it's in full on the Goose: check the General Board, page 4 of Zappa Plays Zappa stories. Adrian Belew was very graceful in taking the blame, and I'm now an Adrian Belew fan.
There was also the case of Polydigm, you know that lovable Aussie fan who wouldn't hurt a fly He had the nerve to start a thread in which he said DZ should not play his own music with ZPZ. It's gone now, but DZ said some real shitty things in there.

People have a natural propensity to gravitate towards drama, thats why reality shows are so popular, even Zappa fans can be Drama Queens... :smoke:

While the DZ/AC/AB story was dramatic, it was not drama as in a reality tv show silliness. I think all 3 of them took the situation seriously, albeit with different perspectives. Imo, all 3 suffered embarassment for their actions / non-actions, with DZ looking the worst by far.

That’s the definition of drama, the only thing missing were the cameras, I agree that the ZFT looks bad in this since they have not fulfilled their commitment, albeit it may have been a far more ambitious a task than they anticipated. But that does not excuse their lack of performance on the commitment, if everyone really feels short changed in this affair, there is a remedy.

Find a class action lawyer and sue for the values of the downloads, a judge will place a value then calculate how many people paid. Say there were an average of 1000 people at each show and it is determined there were say 10 shows that would be 10,000 units and say a value of $10 per person per show would make a value of $100,000. After the lawyer takes his 40% that leaves $60,000, divided by the 10,000 attendees and they would get $6 each and everyone will then be made whole. Or you can take DZ at his words and some day in the future you will receive a high quality download of your concert.

I was circumlocuting this post in order to get this text on television.... go to the Zappa Concerts topic and the OTTAWA BLUES FEST JULY 5th thread. Some of the details may still be there. Arkay is right; no one comes out unscathed.....

Its a long story, with names that will get my post deleted if I print them in full, so I'll just leave it that I'd recommend starting with BBP's recommendation. I just checked and its easy to find:

Thanks all, I've come over all nostalgic wading through the behind the scenes handbags at 20 paces he said she said story of Dweez and Andre, and of course the extended yap yap yappidy yap poodle post's that seem to go on and on and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz topic what topic. Do you think Gary may have been trying to break the forums 60000 character limit for all these years.

Still for a Zappa fan eager for every Zappa musical and as in this case, non musical morsel, it's all good....just another piece of the Dweezil, I mean Puzzle.

Possibly Starkey has now surpassed Moon in the number of concerts performed with The Who (thus gaining the honor of holding the drummer position the longest.)

But he has yet to glue the furniture of his hotel room to the ceiling, at least to my knowledge.

NaturalNews exclusive: Michigan government unleashes armed raids on small pig farmers, forces farmer to shoot all his own pigs

NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County. Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers' pigs under a bizarre new "Invasive Species Order" (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

The car in the pool incident happened in Flint, Mi. (my home town) and although the name of the hotel has been changed to The Days Inn and the pool has been filled in, those of us in the know still regard it as something of a rock & roll landmark to decadence. Although reports are hazy at best, it would've been cool to find out the name of the dentist who was awakened out of a sound sleep around 3 in the morning to do emergency work on Moon The Loon's chipped (broken) tooth. I suppose all the police records must have been destroyed long ago as well. *sigh :|
