It's International Woman's Day, but that's no reason to celebrate by pulling each other's hair. Instead spoil the female members of your household a bit with a nice meal.

Mixed economics, Capitalism, who cares. It still doesn't work !
Too many things that go wrong. Take off your pink glasses and maybe you'll see them.
Who am I kidding ?
When I think about you, I see the cover of the Supertramp album "Crisis ? What crisis ?".

I do this most every day (seriously), so I'll have to think of something else.

Me too. It's a simple omlette with fried potatoes and bacon this evening - maybe I should take her out tomorrow?

I have a joke for this but it's probably inappropriate.

Florida student suspended for wrestling a gun away from a threatening student

"According to the Daily Mail, the New York Daily News and a host of other media outlets on Monday, the latest case of an incident involving a gun at a school comes out of a Florida high school in which a student was suspended for wrestling a loaded gun away from another student...The one who got the gun away from the threatening student who was in possession of the gun says there was no doubt that the armed student would have shot another student if he had not gone after and obtained the gun."

You are SO far out of your league, I'm almost in tears right now... :o

ONE. MORE. TIME. FOR. THE. WORLD.:

Capitalism DOES work. History PROVES this. It's just that you more than obviously don't even understand the difference between Mixed Economies (which is what many countries have for an economic system, including Scandinavia, Canada, the US, etc.) & Capitalism. Nor do you understand that Capitalism isn't Imperialism, Corporatism or the Military Industrial Complex. So you can't even BEGIN to form an opinion about it, let alone tell us whether or not you think it works.

This coming from someone who can't hold a candle to the compelling evidence and FACTS I've presented here. So instead, you resort to banal sarcasm that resembles a shitty stand-up routine in the form of an attention whore's wet dream...

Just out of curiosity and not trying to pick a fight .... what economic system, in your mind , does work to your satisfaction ?

As far as I can see... none !
I can't bear to see peoples left out, and they're not jerks.

Greed is a serious problem.
I can't see any system that can cure us from that but some systems do promote it more than others.

I must admit to the sin of greed myself.
Today teachers in Brandenburg (of which I am one) get a phased payrise which will reach 5.6% in 2014. It's also backdated to January 2013, so by the time I get it (around June/July, judging by past experience), it will pay for most of my holiday.

I prefer the Middle Ages Feudal System, where a few get all the benefits and the rest work their ass off to support it, although it is a bitch if you are not in the upper crust… :smoke:

Your "greed" is very pale compared to "real greed" :smoke:
I greatly doubt that your group of teachers will cause an economic down like the ones we have so far. 8)
I'm sure that I won't see peoples selling their houses because of your raise !

What you have can't really be called "greed". It's more an update, trying to not sink in this world of greedy men.
