Actually, I was referring to Aynsley Dunbar's lines in 200 Motels:
Aynsley: "Where's my hairdryer? Got to look lovely for the girls. After all, I am Bwana Dik..."
Ringo: "Each guy has his own speciality for getting the girl of his dreams!"
[...]
Aynsley: "I left my shirt unbuttoned at the top."

I wouldn't do biz with any country that can "nationalize" your biz and interest in that country.

It's worth checking out and makes a compelling case about the economics of China draining the US's economy. It has some very valid points. Scary points too!

Seems alarmist and a touch xenophobic. That said, the scariest and most depressing book I have ever read is "MAO: The Unknown Story" by Jung Chang & Jon Halliday. Struck fear unto my heart.

Read up on what would likely happen IN China if/when(?) the housing market collapses. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be stranded there...

Some parts of China have 1000 parts per billion of pollutants in the air,to say nothing of the water. Thanks to the 1970 EPA foundation and numerous laws passed, we in the states have limited it -on average- to 32 ppb.

An apple pie made of rotten apples isn't very appealing. :P 8)

Nope.

I explained my case...THEN I referred to them as assholes.

So your claim is that an insult is only an ad hominem if it is presented before the end of a case? So #1 and 2 below are ad hominens, but #3 is not, just because the insult is at the end? Really?

1. You're an asshole. Twinkies are far superior to any other snackcake. They last longer and are made from far better ingredients.

2. Twinkies are far superior to any other snackcake. You're an asshole. They last longer and are made from far better ingredients.

3. Twinkies are far superior to any other snackcake. They last longer and are made from far better ingredients. You're an asshole.

Enjoy!

Thanks.
One last question...
I won't see the posts of that person but will that person still see mine ?
Cause it may be funny to see that person respond to one I posted and never get a feedback
Or reading some of the posts that person wrote via the quotes of others.

Nevertheless I'm going to do to it cause there's one person I can't stand anymore !
Life is good !

Paper retracts 1863 editorial calling Gettysburg Address 'silly'
Nov. 15, 2013 at 12:05 AM

HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania newspaper Thursday issued a retraction of a 150-year-old editorial that described the Gettysburg Address as "silly remarks."

The Patriot-News, based in Harrisburg, 30 miles north of Gettysburg, reprinted the 1863 editorial in what was then known as the Patriot & Union that found fault with President Abraham Lincoln's speech. The paper ran an editorial Thursday commenting on its shortsightedness.

It was followed by a retraction in standard form: "In the editorial about President Abraham Lincoln's speech delivered Nov. 19, 1863, in Gettysburg, the Patriot & Union failed to recognize its momentous importance, timeless eloquence, and lasting significance. The Patriot-News regrets the error."

The 1863 editorial suggested that Lincoln's speech was motivated by party politics. The paper apparently did not have a reporter at the dedication of the National Cemetery at Gettysburg, relying instead on the text of the speeches by Lincoln, Edward Everett, a former Massachusetts governor who had run for vice president in 1860 on the Constitutional Union Party ticket, and Secretary of State William Seward.

Everett, one of the most celebrated orators of the day, spoke for two hours, delivering words now forgotten by almost everyone. Lincoln spoke for two minutes.

"Our predecessors, perhaps under the influence of partisanship, or of strong drink, as was common in the profession at the time, called President Lincoln's words 'silly remarks,' deserving 'a veil of oblivion,' apparently believing it an indifferent and altogether ordinary message, unremarkable in eloquence and uninspiring in its brevity," the Patriot-News said Thursday.

Actually, DB is a Twinkie and he thinks assholes are far superior to any other snack cake.

I get the feeling DB lives off a trust fund and has never had to venture into the real world.

Charlotte Church (et al) whingeing about how women are routinely treated like sex objects in the 'pop' industry.
Well, try something a bit trickier, like some nice ugly music.
Man, I'd nail someone elses pecker to the floor to have a fraction of what she's earned for warbling that shite.

I'll freely admit to being perceived as a manipulative shithead, dear DB, on the grounds that one could argue that I have, once again, succeeded in manipulating you to reveal the bottomless depths of your own lack of self-awareness - although that was not my intention. So I suppose some might say that makes me a manipulative shithead and you a manipulated shithead. I, at least, know which I'd rather be.

If your definition of "revealing the bottomless depths of my own lack of self-awareness" means that I've clearly displayed how much of a manipulative shithead you are, then I guess so (though, without the "shithead").

Manipulative Shithead wrote:
BTW Conservative does not equal socialist and neither does liberal. We can refer to social (e.g. the Liberal Democrats in the UK) or economic liberals (the Austrian Liberals -FPÖ-and, in fact, Ron Paul).

I know damn well that a conservative does not equal socialist and neither does liberal. After all, I was the one who initially pointed that out, especially as an example of your manipulative ways.

Manipulative Shithead wrote:

If you're referring to the term conservative, you're full of shit. But if you're referring to the term liberal, then it would be up for debate.

No, that's not my claim.

If I was ignoring the others' statements and not presenting my own and then stated, "Nice try, assholes" as a response, then that would definitely be an ad hominem. But I presented my case and wasn't ignoring theirs and responded accordingly. So the, "nice try, assholes", comment, was an afterthought, especially since it was not even part of the same paragraph.

Don't you know what an ad hominem means?

Thanks for those definitions,
