I'm doing a workup based on my hometown, San Bernardino. I thought it would be cool to add to the working title, "based on the song, San Bernardino by Frank Zappa". Of course I don't need to base the film on the song but I have always liked the song and, like San Bernardino, the song isn't very nice. Well, neither will be by workup. I promise. And wouldn't that be cool? All of the marketing would have the tag, "...based on the ..." Unless it's gonna cost like $10,000,000 for the rights. To include the song would be great. Maybe a Nelson Riddle Orchestra version or even the Musak 1000 Strings version. Not really. Probably will have the feel of Spun or Salton Sea only scroungier and skankier. A LOT scroungier and skankier. San Bernardino is actually much, much worse than even Frank had imagined. His portrayal was really much too kind. But still solidly disrespectful and far and away a bigger dis than anyone before or since has been able to achieve/publish. I just thought of this a half an hour ago and will pursue this. This was just my most obviouis first stop. Yes? ;=Ob
