Hello All,

I'm a graphic design student studying at OCAD in Toronto, ON and when I came across the Mustache logo I became obsessed with finding out who designed it. Any help here, as well as citation?

Obviously it's based on Zappa's imperial, but aside from that I know nuttin'...sorry I couldnt be of more help. Maybe Jimmied, jayp, slime, mtf or lumpy could help....? They are full of Zappa info. 8)

I think I saw Matt Groening drawing the moustache in some documental about Frank. HE was giving an example about how Micky Mouse is recognized by drawing 3 circles in black, and frank by drawing the moustache. Maybe he did it...

I vote chunky, although I am not sure it goes with broccoli. I'll guess: Cal Schenkel? Neon Park? Un-named cut and paste guy? Salvadore Dali?

or how 'bout an option for those who liked product that had peanut butter and grape jelly in one jar? yes, us yanks think of the most disgusting things :P i think it was'nt that great. nor was the "natural" peanut butter you had to keep in the fridge and stir every time before use. in the industry, they used the term "acrid" for the taste. i know, we had a subscription to consumer reports at one time. read those labels!!!!

I think the first time I saw the moustache logo was in the booklet of CPIII, which hints at it not being a totally posthumous logo. Not that my observation is of any help, but hey.....

And its smooth peanut butter, and Marmite IS JUST WRONG.

ON EVERY LEVEL.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their input on peanut butter and the logo as I continue to track this one down…

I’m pretty sure I had added “I’m allergic, it’ll kill me.” to the poll but I must have deleted it or not selected the right thing when I made the poll.

I feel like I’ve always known who Zappa was, but honestly I’m only just beginning to listen to his music…. I’m pretty sure my older brother had a Shampoo Horn album… I know it’s not Frank, but that’s the extent of my Zappa experience… that and a cooking show with Lisa Loeb…

If you want to imagine Marmite, just think Vegemite with sugar.

I never liked peanut butter, ever, but wasn't wholly averse to it until many years ago when I woke up sick to my stomach and retching from an especially vivid, realistic dream in which I was spreading what I thought to be peanut butter on bread and eating it until suddenly I realized that the peanut butter wasn't peanut butter any more and, unlike what many would expect me to say, I won't say what it had become!!! NOBODY needs any extensive imagination to fill in that which I left unsaid! (Yes, this actually was a dream I had, no.....fooling!
