Here's the deal: I'm planning on going to see these guys in Detroit on the 27th. Unfortunately, I live about nine to ten hours away. I have Thursday and Friday off, but work that Saturday at 3. Now, I am trying to get the day off, and hope I will. But if I don't, I have to drive home right after the concert. How long is the average Zappa Plays Zappa concert?

I'd count on about 3 hours at least. Not a bad value for your money.

I went to the Chicago show on Friday. It started on time @ 7:30PM and we were out the door by 10:ishPM So if you are 9 hours away from your job well, you'll be a little late ;-)

Well I made it to the show, and got somebody to cover my shift the next day. It was an amazing show. So glad I went.
