I wonder if Frank and the band used a theremin on "Cheepnis"
(ROXY AND ELSEWHERE). Sounds like it, but its also possible, that the <spooky sounds> were created by a MOOG-Synthesizer with Ribbon Controller. Does anybody have further information? :?

However, I've never heard of George Duke playing one.

Almost certainly, it was the ribbon controller...
