How'd you do that? I found where you can turn off signatures, avatars and the word censor, but nothing about quotes.

Did you do it manually?

It's a wish list item not a reality.

Does anybody know what the black dots are that appear on the top left of some of the thread icons in the left hand column of topic lists?

This was a terrible idea. I like having easy-access to the chat thread, instead of having to rummage through the garbage to find what I want.

this may cut down on redundant threads:

prime subject check ...when a new topic is attempted, a list of topics with similar subjects will first be displayed suggesting this new topic is not needed - ajax support included

activation threads are locked, no response possible

mikey,

any way to add this to their sign-up instructions [in big letters], so they know to re-post their questions/comments on a regular forum thread

I've been having time problems here since Summertime started. The forum clock was an hour late, and so I turned my time zone into Eastern European.

My family doesn't celebrate Daylight Savings Time, so I'm fine with it as it is.

But my daughter's school is getting all hissy, since she's showed up an hour late every day this month...

It's because daylight saving started early here.

You can change your time settings in your user control panel under "Board Preferences".

I had a problem posting an attachment yesterday on the Post More Random Photos thread. It said that the forum quota for attachments had been reached. I was able to post the photo as an image in the message. But, I am curious, is there an upper limit for attachments and does this mean we will not be able to post any more attachments?

Will look into it.

Might have just been your image size.. but I'll look under the hood.

sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached
-max size is currently 250kb per attached file

the limits may be based on total users and available server space; since 90% of users don't post, and over 50% of the users that post don't use attachments, you could probably increase the quota from 65 per user to approx 1,300 each based on 13,926 currently registered users

Many a newbee tries to get a message over, yet isn't aware that one cannot answer to the activation thread. A little info about that should be added what you think? Then we'll see what they like then. 8)
