From Sky Arts - the channel that brought me my first taste of ZPZ.

Tuned in last night and was stunned to see Frank in a pink catsuit ( ) in a quite stunning gig.

For those with access to Sky satellite tv, I'm sure it won't be long until they're showing repeats of this 2 hour pleasurefest.

I recorded later, but haven't seen yet, a 1-hour look at the making of Apostrophe and Overnite Sensation, apparently featuring interviews & rare footage.

Great start to the festive season for Frank fans with satellite dishes!

If you'd like to get the official release of that 1981 concert, it's called "The Torture Never Stops", and is readily available.
(and so is an extended version of the Apostrophe/Overnite Sensation documentary)

Thanks Doug

I'd imagine 2 hours was the full show though, so not much point buying the DVD, other than for the cover? Haven't seen it on sale here anyway, though I'm sure it's available online.

The setlist on the Sky programme was:
1. Black Napkins
2. Montana
3. Easy Meat
4. Beauty Knows No Pain
5. Charlie's Enormous Mouth
6. Fine Girl
7. Teen-Age Wind
8. Harder Than Your Husband
9. Bamboozled By Love
10. We're Turning Again
11. Alien Orifice
12. Flakes
13. Broken Hearts are for Assholes
14. You Are What You Is
15. Mudd Club
16. The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing
17. Dumb All Over
18. Heavenly Bank Account
19. Suicide Chump
20. Jumbo Go Away
21. Stevie's Spanking
22. The Torture Never Stops
23. Strictly Genteel
24. The Illinois Enema Bandit

Appreciate the info though :D

The DVD also has "Teenage Prostitute", "City of Tiny Lights", and "You Are What You Is" (different performance...the video was assembled from the two shows they did that day)
plus notes and photo gallery.
plus some stick-on transfers, and a pair of "No-D" glasses.

Not a huge difference...it depends on how manic a collector you is. 8)

Worth looking out for in the sales, to get the extra tracks.

Guess i'm more fan than collector these days, the important thing for me is to have the music (and video).

Appreciate your input on this, Doug.

Merry Christmas to you, and indeed to all here.

Well, you know what I say...to hell with the "FZ construction" business, 2 hours overwhelmingly domininated by Frank's relatively mundane "stadium rock" repertoire isn't good enough -
especially when you consider the storage capacity of DVDs! -
What we wanted was both shows in their entirety, restored from the raw footage.. or at least a 3 hour digest with the primitive-Sinister Footwear, Drowning Witch and the two Monster songs intact.

Indeed. But why give the serious fans what they want? It's more fun to edit everything, like some Hollywood movie exec who is not satisfied with a work of art until he changes it to suit his idea of the marketplace.

It's sure is funny to see FZ deal with the MTV crew. Especially Nina. She told Frank she wanted to talk with him 'more in depth' about things. If she got FZ alone, she'd a probably offered him drugs and then try to rape him.

You mean PARA-suit. So ridiculous. Tho' better than his jogging outfit he wore in '88. Gotta give him slack tho'. he was not feeling well in '88. I attended both early & late shows, right down front. I've never even tried to look for myself in the audience footage. Why bother? I know what I look like (unfortunately?).

Video of Chunga's Revenge was used during the first ZPZ tour in 2006.
