I was browsing the FZShows site, and it was obvious that Zappa's concerts varied hugely in length. I was wondering if anyone knew, off the top of thier head, which shows hold the records for being the LONGEST or SHORTEST. I'd love to know ;)
The Lille, France '82 concert was very short indeed: cancelled after soundcheck. Horrendous sound!

Oh yes, that 78 run of shows are really legendary! And i had prefered a copmlete Cd release of one show to a sampler DVD-A of only 13 pieces!

Wasnt the "Geneva farewell"- incident on YCDTOSA 5 also a very short show? At least we know: longest show was 1978, shortest in 1982.

many gripes about the Halloween DVD-A.

I also have the entire 4 cd show.

And I would have rather had a two, or 3 cd soundboard release instead of the DVD-A, although FZ always was on top of technology.
The DVD-A has a "best of" feel to it.
There were many unique songs recorded that night, Dweezil and Joe could have choose some of the "off tunes" of the show.

I wish they would have stuck to the "FZ BUILT REEL"
