As always, thanks Dweezil and crew, for keeping the music alive and taking it to new audiences all over the world. I'm 4 for 4 in your DC-area shows, and am ready for when you come back, whenever that will be.
Thanks again,
J
Set list (as best as I can remember, and in approximate order)
Apostrophe (the bass pickups were out, so the opening bars of the ripping, fuzzed-out bass solo were nowhere to be heard)
Village of the Sun
Echidna's Arf (of You)
Don't You Ever Wash That Thing?
Montana
Yellow Snow (truncated)
Pound for a Brown
Purple Lagoon
Bamboozled by Love (w/ rockin' teenage combo "Owner of a Lonely Heart" breakdown)
San Berd'ino
Eat That Question
Willie the Pimp

I was expecting a set list more fitting the prog/metal crowd, like Muffin Man, Titties n' Beer, Be in My Video, Carolina Hardcore Ecstasy, Florentine Pogen, but sadly, none. Didn't even get Peaches...next time.

Dateline 1979 Mike Mainieri began taking some live NYC JAzz Club "Steps"
that by the time of their first release in 1983 became the linear train
of the "Steps Ahead" ideology of JAzz Fussion.

In 2006 ZPZ began sternly delivering unexpected perfection to the live stage.
Regardless of the changes in the special guest and ZPZ core member categories
ZPZ remain "Miles Beyond" the other bands that root themselves in any given
form of live music least not forget the Zappa Cover Bar Band Genre.

My 4th time seeing the band. Slightly different version of the band every time but always incredible!
Once again an amazing show! ZPZ are miles beyond the other groups on the tour
and though I would rather see another ZPZ only show,
I'm always glad to see the group under ANY circumstances.
Set list included:
Purple Lagoon
Zomby Woof
Montana
Village of the sun
Echidna's Arf
Don't you ever wash that thing
My Guitar wants to kill your mama
Inca Roads
Peaches & Regalia
Bamboozled by Love
More Trouble Every Day - Roxy version

The Beacon was fucking amazing! You can add Village of the Sun/Echindo's Arf to that list. And Portnoy playing drums on Willie the Pimp, after singing Bobbie Brown. Great show! ZPZ is slowly getting my wife into FZ's music, thankfully. :)

Yes very much an FZ penned 50s playful tune.
I could see where this was lots of in the moment fun for the Chicago Audience.
No No Cherry, Night Owl, Cock Suckers Ball & Stranded In The Jungle
are Zappa cover examples of FZ admiration for such numbers.

Currently, I don't have the Milwaukee setlist (hopefully that'll change soon) but I'll post Chicago's setlist right now...
