How about this excellent MIXTAPE ?

http://mix.killuglyradio.com/

Part 1 of a 3 part series, online and to listen to only for a limited time, so enjoy it whilst it lasts !

This one is specifically about the 1973-1974 group (The Roxy & Elsewhere Period so to speak...), so that's just about everyone's favorite FZ period me thinks

This is a nice collection ! Maybe Vaya Con Dios from Basel would have been a better ending.

Just this week I've listened to two '73 shows.

Kent State
sound: rather murky but bearable in context
highspots: slow Pygymy Twylyte, Yellow Snow with Kin Vassy vocals, Big Swifty with long Marquez/Underwood solos

Princeton
sound: clairty OK but wobbles from mono to stereo for much of the tape
highspots: fast Pygmy Twylyte w. amusing monolog; Yellow Snow with Kin Vassy and string of solos on the boogie-beat part; post-Yellow Snow cadenzas from Sal, Bruce & JLP; 9-minute FZ solo on Dupree that's actually worth hearing

To hell with "forbidden fruit", this is the crucial point to be made here: Never standing a chance of penetrating the closed circle-elite that is the FZ audio trading network, I would never have had the opportunity to hear these gigs - which, let's face it, musically speaking, piss all over a great many of FZ's officially released live albums - if it were not for the much-missed Friday Boots on Kill Ugly Radio.

Are you getting my drift? A big f**k you (with a stick of dynamite) to Gail and all her supporters.

This one's truly mesmerizing. I wished they'd include it on a 'Joe's Garage 30th' album and release it properly --

Listened to this again ... Love the tempo they play this at... makes it all that more special. Great stuff.

Them Or Us outtakesThis version: 26.34 min, A

1- WE'RE TURNING AGAIN
Basic track: 1981 12 11 (E) Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA

Ike Willis on Thingfish vocals. Different mix than on Have I Offended Someone and FZ Meets The Mothers of Prevention. Instead of ending cold, it segues into "Alien Orifice", as on FZMOTP.

2- ALIEN ORIFICE
Basic track: Unknown location c. September 1981-July, 1982
FZ solo: Unknown 1982 show
Tommy Mars solo: 1981 12 10 (E) Community Theater, Berkeley, CA

Same version as on FZMOTP, but slightly different mix.

3- NIG BIZ
1982 07 14 Stadio Communale La Favorita, Palermo, Italy

Same version as on YCDTOSA3, but different mix and edit, keeping just FZ's solo. The ending is not from Palermo and segues into the next track.

4- LISA'S LIFE STORY
1981 12 11 (E) Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA
1981 12 11 (L) Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA

Longer edit than on YCDTOSA6, containing a longer segment of "The Dangerous Kitchen" from the late show. Please note that Chad's part has already been overdubbed, and it's not the same as on the SBD tape.

5- WHIPPIN' POST
Body of the song: 1981 12 11 (L) Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, CA
1981 12 12 (L) Fox Theatre, San Diego, CA
or
1982 06 11 (E) Alte Oper, Frankfurt, Germany
FZ solo: 1982 06 11 (E) Alte Oper, Frankfurt, Germany

Some disagreement here. Pat says that the whole song is from Frankfurt, but I do think that the body of the song is the same as Them Or Us, just differently mixed. Either way, the guitar solo is without any doubt from Frankfurt, and it's different than the album version.

6- THE REVENGE OF THE KNICK KNACK PEOPLE

7- WON TON ON
UMRK, c. 1982-1984

This track was in another part of the tape, but as Mark Pinske said in an interview that they started to work on "Won Ton On" before "Ya Hozna", we have decided to include it here. This version, which is incomplete, is different both from Thing-Fish and True Glove. Just like on True Glove, it doesn't have any TF voices on it and it does have Johnny Guitar Watson's commentary, but just like on Thing Fish the falsetto backward vocals fade in at the beginning instead of starting together with all the rest. Also, Watson's commentary is placed in differently than on True Glove.

Notes: The original footage looked dull, washed out, lined and was a long way from the action as the camera was set at the back of the hall. I ran a few color corrections, tests and stuff and decided that because there was such an empty space above and below in the 4:3 format, that I may as well color correct, edit and resize it for a widescreen presentation.
This gave me the chance to convert the audio to WAV, normalize and perform some tidying fades. Unknown generation.

Yep, it's pretty good. The Black Napkins version from this show was even released on FZ Plays The Music Of FZ.

I understand Dweezil mentioned the idea of releasing the whole show.
