The guitar on the Jazz version is the same as he did years before on MTV unplugged layla.
He had his day long ago i seen him a steve windwood on TV from a concert recent and Windwood was better guitarist if anything

This topic is getting a little out of hand from how it started. Frank Zappa was more than a musician, without getting too maudlin' about it the reasons why I differentiate between FZ and EC is that EC has nothing much to offer anymore, and what he offers is what the media in general wants. His biography (which I have not read, and which EC got paid a lot of money) missed out a lot what happened during 67 - 69, and in many cases inaccurate too. This according to a contemporary who used to borrow and trade guitars together. At least when FZ wrote his biography he did so on the premise that people who would want to read it would be interested in what FZ had to say about matters exercising his mind during the late 1980's, which it seems why FZ wrote the book. I can't see anything worthwhile (unless you wish to include fine tailoring) exercising Eric Clapton's life. Has he stopped playing the Albert Hall trying to break previous endless records?

I don't put Clapton in Zappa's league. But I don't become a fan of somebody's music because of what kind of person they are either. And even if I did, Frank isn't perfect either.
