We all know DZ has been very gracious about hanging out after shows signing stuff. I think I've gotten a signature 7 out of 8 times, and that was because the venue had a moat around the stage making it virtually impossible. My question is this - on one occasion DZ signed as 'Zappa Plays Zappa' instead of his usual signature. I have no problem with this, but I'm curious. Has anyone else gotten that? It was at the HOB in Cleveland and while I was waiting for DZ Ben happened to be there so I got his, then Pete's. Could it be he was offended that I got those 'nobody' signatures before his, or am I reading too much into this.

Also, curious what the various picks he's given out are. I have a 'Larry Storch'. What are the others?

I really need some new hobbies...

"Nobody signatures"?? I can't speak for Dweezil but I would find THAT offensive.

Fun huh! Why would you want 10,000 copies of the same signature!
I have one that says Dweezl. Probably because the pen he was using didn't work well.

I put my signed poster in the vault now

If i recall correct it was Napoleon signed ZPZ 2006,i got dweezil last and he signed dweezil i'll think i after get a look the next time the vault is open

Signed my leather in R.I. on the 1st tour and a baseball hat at the ROXY last yr. Both were "Dweezil Zappa"

left sleeve if you were wearing the jacket.

He has signed a variety of Items for me from my Hockey jersey to Photo's I took of him and of Frank. Each has his signature with some subtle differences. I don't think having previous band members signatures would have anything to do with the way he signed. I've seen over ten shows now and he stays to the last autograph! I also would be offended to be called a nobody. They are all great musicians!
