3rd time I've seen ZPZ. This was a fantastic gig and it's great to hear some of the less well known songs above coming out.
Ben on vox has really taken a giant leap forward this tour and I thought he owned the stage whenever he was on (search youtube for Scottish Blue Light!). Shiela awesome as always, Joe's drumming was far more interesting than anything i've heard from him before. Seems to be inspired by the Vinnie era tunes and played a lot more polyrythmic type stuff rather than the usual 8th's round the toms type fill. At the risk of getting him sacked I also have to say I prefer Jamie Kime's guitar solo's that i've heard to any of Dweezil's!
Song wise - a real treat to hear Blessed Relief, what a beautiful tune. T'mershi, the tinseltown numbers, little house, 78 arrangement of COTL (with Ben, Billy and Sheila doing Rocky style workouts during the guitar harmony at the end of the solo), excerpts from sinister footwear 3rd movement, hearing the band play a bit of the 19/16 version of Greasy... all fantastic. Hope to catch them again.
Anyone else been enjoying these gigs??
