Are you guys getting random Zappa tracks in the stream right now too? It probably should have started by now. But then again, when do concerts ever start on time?

Have just tuned in once more. You are right, Disc-Thrower. They actually got the sounds right now.

Hi all,

We're all ready to go here - less than half hour to go.

There's been a slight programming change.
At 7.30pm the RMC will perform Wild Imaginings, then Gail will come on stage before the LCO perform Varese.

Thanks,
Mary

Thanks. I just checked http://www.timeanddate.com and it shows that London is 7 hours ahead of us on the West Coast and not 8 hours like I had originally thought...

yeah, we did that change to normal time again last weekend here on the Old Continent. So everything is very normal. ... if not thinking of space-walking all the time something extraorbital might happen.

I haven't heard "I Ran All The Way Home (Just To Say I'm Sorry)" since I was a little child, and BOY! I didn't realize that riff from "Any Way The Wind Blows" is in it!!!!

Nice to see everyone enjoying the celebration! Of note where Gail Zappa was speaking 6 channel surround sound for The Yellow Shark it will be something to look forward to in a future production. I had asked Gail Zappa about the feasibility for surround sound at FZ orchestral events when The Adventures Of Greggery Peccary was performed at Carnegie Hall. She had responded that Carnegie Hall was not all that open to an artist recording shows for their own productions. My intent was on live performance. I was fortunate to see Boulez have surround sound at Carnegie but in terms of recording it's not that it never happens at Carnegie but in this weekend's celebration it seems The Roundhouse very much has a handle on the production side of things even if Frank's 6 Channel Sound he developed for The Yellow Shark is not part of tonight's program. While many could have hoped for Carnegie Hall The Roundhouse is a really fine choice of venue and company for this special celebration.

Enjoy the weekend festivities all at the shows and those in less fortunate parts of the world that are lucky enough to catch it streamed. Peace and Good Will to all.
