I recieved an E-mail from the Crest listing the show for ZPZ on 2/18/11 at 7:30pm seats Gold Circle $89 with sound check included at 4:00pm, floor and front balcony $65 upper $45. Tickets on sale Friday 12/02/11 (no time given)

Ya.Just as I told you by pm.Jeez Plook,ya didn't believe me or what? I got the same E-mail last night and it's been on their books for a week now.This is just the advertisement hype starting up.I hope no one goes on DZW and post this other than on the N.Californian Zappaphiles thread.For once I'd like a fair shot at front to 3rd row center seats! They give them to the press and buddies of The Crest with only a few great seats for the real Zappa Freaks.Smaller venues like The Crest that seat around 1,000 make it hard to get good seats at a fair price.I don't want anymore competition than necessary.I wonder how high the scalpers are gonna ask for middle front? 1-2 hundred? Well it looks like I'll pay to meet Dweezil again (he's such a nice boy) and oh boy another sound check....check,...123.....check.
If I could,I'd do what 'ol Judge Roy Bean did when he went to see Miss Lilly Langtree.Buy all the tickets! Only I'd bring a few Zappa Freak buddys and buddettes from Zappa.com for 'atmosphere' with me!

Edit: The time on The Crest site says 7:30PM one place and 8:00PM on another for show time.

Relax dude I got my seats on line and had 3rd row stage left seats 1,2,&3 in front of SG...Mrs. Plook will have to take care of it this time for me, I will be flying at 36,000 feet when they go on sell...I am assuming at 10am the advertisement does not give a time...

I thought the tix didn't go on sale till noon,so thanks,I'll keep looking for a "confirmed" time of sale.With this tour I'm tryin' to go to three shows,two at least and once I'd like to be in the front. Wow. I really wasn't expecting this. I obviously gotta go to the Chico show now. I won't rule out Sac but I can't commit. The El Rey is a pretty small place, maybe half the size of the Crest if that. I see the tix are only $27.50 too. Every show I've ever been to there has been general admission and I've never had a problem getting a good seat even with a casual arrival. I've seen Robin Trower and the Yardbirds there this year and sat in maybe the 5th to 7th rows without getting in line early. Neither show was sold out. Don't know what to expect with ZPZ though. I'll go get a ticket Saturday. Another good thing is you can bring your beer to your seat. They even have cupholders! There's lots of places nearby to eat and drink before the show if y'all are into that sort of thing.

Update: I see tix are $27.50 for Tier 3, $35.00 for Tier 2, and $54.00 for Tier 1. Like I say, it's a pretty small place. Seein' as I'm on a budget and all, Tier 3 should be fine for me.

I talked to our friend in the north yesterday and Chico has most of the seats sold!

We've been busy making touring plans for 2012. In the past the early part of the year has been downtime for us but not next year! We are happy to announce a special run of dates in February that take us up and down the west coast of California as well as a brief visit to Arizona. We're excited to be playing some new cities on this tour and look forward to making the shows memorable for all of you.
