I dont think this has been posted here yet, but there's going to be a festival in honor of Frank Zappa day in Baltimore on Sept 17th.
http://www.facebook.com/frankzappadayThe Zappa Family has been very cooperative with this event. From what I've been told by people putting on the festival, the bands are all going to overlap into each others sets... The last song a band plays will be a Zappa song... which will be picked up as the first song of the next band. That sounds pretty crazy, but I hope that works out as planned. The festival is being held in the same spot as the Zappa statue dedication last year. I know ZPZ were invited but had already committed to other shows that weekend.
Gene Ween is the headliner, but there are some very good east coast bands like Celebration, Infinien and Arbouretum. (Those are the bands I particularly dig and expect other Zappa fans to like - Especially Infinien
