Very good at what he did.

3 weeks before a tour? hopefully this was planned and they have a replacement ready OR DZ will go solo for this run. i'd like to see that. I always enjoyed Frank as the only guitar player.

Former keyboard player Aaron Arntz is on Kimmel tonight playing with Edwarde Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.

Third one bites the dust. Shame, Jamie was really great. Solid performance every time.

Now there's a guitarist who really has his own style.

That's a couple of huge blows for Dweezil. It's not the first time that someone has left just before a tour. I wonder wussup with dat? I'd love be a fly on the wall......

I agree with him, though; he did improve a lot while with the band. He seemed a bit tentative at first, but became a bigger presence as the years went by. Wonder who'll replace him?

Dweezil won't be bringing Steve Vai or Mike Keneally in to cover...

But it's pretty much a perpetual tour for ZPZ, isn't it? It's not like they take long periods of time off from the road in order to write and record studio albums. Sooner or later, the road burns everyone out.

"Touring can make you crazy" :P

So is anyone else on the way out to actually make it a five piece?

Is this music possible without a percussionist?

with the right kind of set list, sure. it will be great. it will also give them a chance to stretch out a bit and not be so sterile. remember the late 1975-1976-early 1977 FZ bands were a 5 piece for most of those tours.

Yeah the Bootleg Eyes of Osaka has 5 and i don't think it does the music any justice imo.
