Recorded by Warner Brothers. Hmmm ...

Nice bit of context, Fritz, thanks.

I think the only recordings I've heard from there are Ray Romano, Lewis Black and Chicago.

I've got a nice double vinyl album, One-Night Stand A Keyboard Event, which has been recorded at Carnegie Hall. Feat. George Duke, Herbie Hancock, Bob James, Eubie Blake, Ramsey Lewis, and some others.

Good to see you keeping this up Fritz. BTW, the first pic in the first post on this page is on a site which has now been shut down.

I'm wondering what other people experience when loading these picture intensive pages. I get lots of question mark icons when I first open the page. If I load each image separately it goes into the browser cache, so next time I load the page, all the pictures load up quickly with few exceptions. I thought it was Safari that was doing this to me until my family stayed at my mother-in-law's last christmas and everything loaded up first time there. So maybe my isp is doing something in the background with it's firewall or something.

Oh well, this problem seems to be fixed, these pages are loading really well for me now. :D

Peterson Gym, which opened in May of 1961, is located on 55th Street, north of the Aztec Athletics Center on the west side of the San Diego State campus. The arena is able to seat 3,668 spectators and serves as home to the SDSU women's volleyball squad. The facility has also served as a site of both NCAA volleyball and basketball tournaments. In addition, it served as the host site for the 2003 Mountain West Conference championship tournament. The facility is named after C.E. Peterson, who at various times during his 37-year Aztec career served as athletics director, football coach, track coach, basketball coach, Dean of Men and alumni executive secretary. He passed away in December of 1959.

a carefully calculated caper
the real story behind the great zappa prank of 1975
by mark kendall

set in styrofoam, not stone, frank zappa’s name and likeness appeared, seemingly
overnight, high upon the face of bridges auditorium back in the carefree spring of 1975 ...

... figured out that they could get onto the roof of the adjacent old renwick gym
to extend a ladder across a four-foot gap that separated the two structures, and
climb onto the roof ... the pair had decided it was chopin whom they would
cover up amongst the five composers commemorated ... the styrofoam had enough
give to easily wedge into the notched, recessed space for chopin’s frieze; they
secured the replacement with heavy fishing line tied to various rooftop fixtures ...

zappa was now shoulder to shoulder with beethoven & bach on the campus’s most
imposing edifice...
