Didn't he die in Star Trek VIII(?) once?

I think he went in a worm whole to another place... :smoke:

Well, we've all done that! But I thought in the end Malcom Mcdowell (or was it a bridge?) killed him. Doug's bound to know...

According to the novels, he was snagged by the Borg, and brought back to life, although not under their control.

Gimme dat, gimme dat, gimmie da chromium tool,.....mon! Why would the Borgs keep him alive but not under their control? Is he in a limbo state and does he still have mental facilities?

Inquiring Kaptain's gots to know!

That's the first time the board said "There are no Birthdays today".

In a nutshell...The body of James T. Kirk is stolen by the Romulans after his burial. The Borg have formed an alliance with the Romulan Star Empire in order to destroy the Federation. Using alien technology, the Borg bring Kirk back to life and his katra is restored, but false memories are implanted to turn him against the Federation. The goal of this secret alliance is to destroy Picard, but, despite his conditioning, Kirk is able to resist commands to kill Worf, Data, and Geordi La Forge, all of whom are attacked by him during his search for Picard.
Eventually, Doctors Bashir and McCoy remove Kirk's implants, and Spock does the mind-meld thing, restoring Kirk to "normal".

Darn pesky Romulans! I was hoping, doopt doopt,I was hoping, doopt doopt they had a swimming pool...(sorry,I get excited) That would be a good place for a "good Kirk" vs "bad Kirk" acting challenge for the 'ol Shatt Man + a new Star Trek movie. Now that would be a classic reinactment for an old thesbian like Bill to do.Gotta love the Shatt Man at 81+! Thanx jpd.

He has been around lately, but only seldom. From my experience, he never posts, or maybe even see, outside the general board...

Robert Moog: check google's main page...

Robert Moog's birthday celebrated with Google Doodle

Robert Moog, the music innovator, who would have celebrated his 78th birthday today, and has been commemorated with an animated Google doodle.

Moog is credited with transforming musical synthesisers in the 1960s by making a synth with a small keyboard which was easy to use.

The Google logo has been incorporated into an electronic synthesiser which can be ‘played’ by clicking on its keys using a mouse cursor. You can adjust the sound by clicking on the buttons and if people really like their composition, they can record it [up to four tracks!!!] and play it back - using the animated tape recorder beside the doodle. Users who wish to play the synth need Flash.

Moog, originally from New York, quickly attracted high profile fans of his product, including the Beatles and the Doors.

His father has encouraged him to build electronics from an early age, and by 14, he had built his first electronic instrument – a theremin.

The Moog synthesiser is still popular today, even in the digital era, with many DJs opting to use it while performing.

This photo turned 40

Seems that Horst Fass was responsible for Nick Uts' photo getting printed despite the content.

A seriously shattering story here with a good ending.

I honestly had no idea that this little girl could have survived.

I just read that story.Has Horst Faas passed away? I believe I heard something about that.It was also towards the end of the war that Mr.UT took this picture for AP in`74.Pix like this helped end that war.Where are the pictures now? Hard to find as the Media thinks we should concern ourselves with the kitty up the tree! War is hell and we at home need to see it,especially if we're involved! She's yelling "To hot,to hot",as she runs barefoot through a pothole, like it's not there.
The Horror.....The Horror....

Thank you one and all for your b-day wishes! Getting old suddenly becomes tangible when you turn 60 and you single-handedly keep the local "medication dispensory facility" open. But, I will persevere and hope to actually retire someday. Altho I don't think it will be in 5 years; that's old school thinking. New school thinking is WORK TIL YOU DROP!

If the republicans get their ways.....
