Hey all!

Just curious...what would you say the best and/or most essential recordings of ZPZ shows are? I'm thinking in terms of greatest performances, best quality etc. I guess the priority would be best performances, or most notable ones.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I don't think any of them are or can be essential, after all they are simply covers

Would this be tantamount to saying that FZ's re-working of his songs was irrelevent? Mostly, I think yer right, but I leave the door open for what could be possible.

Truly essential is none of the records. As opposed to FZ playing his own music, which is by the original artist and adds to the continuity, Dweezil does his best to sound like the records. Except he doesn't hire the original musicians.
But there's a lot of fun stuff. If you ever see a show in The Netherlands you may want to listen to Fuck The Swedes. Otherwise I'm unfamiliar with ZPZ folklore.

The very best ZPZ recording is the free recording that came with admission to the November 2008 NYC show....Oh wait a minute......they never actually provided the recording. (however, the free guitar made up for it.) Ignore this post.
