I agree with this of course, but if you'd been following the history of this conversation, you'd know this is not something that anyone was trying to force on Bravo, and Lumpy added himself to the mix. So, they're both willing participants.

Well I can't think of anything to add. I know and like some rap, but I can't imagine everybody having my taste.
I still don't like rap. so there.

I would still like to know if any song with a "Rap element" would fall into that catagory or if what the anti-rappers are going to bail on a song as soon as that element comes in...I can think of many good songs that may have a line or two of rapping but I would not define as a "Rap song"... please splain...

So what about a Blues or Jazz song that may have a portion of rap...say the chorus or a bridge?

I'm not a massive fan of rap myself but I quite like John Lydon (in small doses) and Bill Laswell (in rather larger ones). Not likely that either of you will like it though, although the video's good.

Great choice! I love their collaboration on the entire Public Image Ltd. "Generic" release (which also includes a few killer Steve Vai solos as well).

IMHO these are pretty decent ones:

Although I probably hate more than 99% of the music that has been made, I could not say I do not like an entire music genre.
