It was on Jay Leno last Tuesday. Pretty good, it was Alice Cooper doing "Schools Out" , with Dweezil.

Yup. Must have been a re-run. Look on the TV & Film index for more.

Repeat: Dweezil played the Hendrix guitar.Leno only mentioned Dweezil once.Do you think Leno knows Dweezils a Conan kinda guy? He did get to rip a solid guitar rock solo, and looked like a real guitar god dressed all in black.Look out Via,Dweezils sneaking up on your status back, baby.I loved Alice even though he can't think of a word that rythmes.Schools Out. 8)

I cuncur.But.... it would be interesting to take them down to crossroads and have a riff off.Adrian Belew as the ref./devil.
Or not. :| 8)

Hell, make it a three way, Dweezil, Via and Vai. Talk about heads gettin' cut.

Dweezil is a fantastic guitarist...but there's NO way in hell he's better than Vai.

He's not better than Vai, but he could give Via a run for his money. The guitar stylings of Von Helen and Joff Back are nothing to shake a stick at either. Of course we all know the king is Jammy Hendricks. But where would any of these guys be without Chick Barry.

Very very nice!

But I'm even more pumped-up over the boxed set "Alice's Old School"(....1965 to 1974 did he say???). I hope it has lots of live Alice Cooper Band cuts!!!

I don't think anybody said he was. I said he was better than Via, whoever that is.

Dweezil is better than Via.Now Steve Vai is another story. It's a mute point about Via,she only plays Tamborine!

Did any one listen to Vince.................I mean Alice Cooper on the Dennis Miller show the other day? The guy is very politically astute, in the same camp as brother Ted!!!!!!

I thought Dweezil did a great job on that. He is one of my son's favorite guitarists.

I like his playing also; I would love to see him sit in with RTF.

I wish I had caught that performance. It sounds interesting. I love the old Alice Cooper Band stuff before he went solo. I will try to keep an open mind about Dweezil, but there is no way he is better than Steve Vai. I will never believe that.

In fairness, I must admit his father has cast a giant shadow on him and he deserves to be judged on his own merits, not as his father's son.
