Howard confirmed the event but couldn't quite bring himself to talk about it in Society Pages. Other than that, all the evidence we have is those onstage remarks.

Someone on this board suggested that there was once some orgiastic scene, involving homosexual experimentation, which some "Mothers of Invention" including Frank (and Don Preston?) participated in.

Don was in the mid-late '71 band. Is this why Howard was so embarrassed (given that rectums were involved)?!

My guess is that if this actually occurred then it may have excluded FZ and was some variation of The Sanzini Brothers routine which was performed often in '71. In Playground Psychotics FZ distances himself from this by crediting this composition to Ian Underwood and Flo & Eddie and claiming amnesia about the on-stage antics. From the liner notes FZ said:

It's a "motel event" we're talking about here - not something that happened on stage.

Just the same itr sounds like someone took it in the ass...
