I was TRYING to watch the VPRO documentary in several parts on YouTube when part 3 ended right in the middle of a very intriguing story Steve Vai was telling about he and Frank jamming together. I found a few Part 4 videos to watch, but none of them picked up in the right place and so the story was never finished, which was very annoying.

Here's what I got: Steve Vai lived up the street from Frank and so they would get together and jam sometimes. Frank played something and told Vai to remember it. So, months later, Vai said, "remember that guitar part you showed me?" and Frank said he didn't, so Steve played it for him and Frank said, "Oh yeah, here's another part." Many more months went by and Steve said, "hey remember those 2 guitar parts you showed me?" and Frank said, "yeah, here's another part—"

and that is where the story ended.

Can anyone fill me in on the rest? I'm guessing that it's probably something pretty good otherwise why would Steve bother to tell it?

THank yousE!! I posted this when my account was still unable to post anything, so that's probably why it was buried. Not sure if this post will go through or if it has to be scrutinized first by thee central scrutinizer, but thank you! That was driving me nuts! :)

Ah, bummer, I was hoping you had a video link there. I wanted to see the full 20 seconds I missed for myself :) Thank you for telling me, though; now I can listen to the song and try to listen to the guitar very intensely and imagine what is interesting about this story...

I'd love to, but from where? The only link from the above link is a 404 error page.
