I love Roger Waters' scream in "Careful with that axe Eugene" from "Live at Pompeii"

It is indeed tremendous, as is the one from the same song on Ummagumma.

The Ummagumma version is also very nice, but on "Pompeii" I can see him screaming :D

I would have liked to have heard Roger Waters scream on hearing "A Momentary Lapse of Reason".

He's human but he has the gates to Hell in his throat. They require the annual sacrifice of a young maiden to stay closed.

Case closed. Game over. Period.

But here's an outstanding unrock screamer (microphone breaks and you can still hear this beast): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwjyZKqmkUg

And the votes are in (Are they?) and it's Kyo #1 and a tie for 2nd place: Roger Waters & Yoko Ono for #2. (Ever hear Roger's scream continue as a "baby cry" on "Careful With That, Eugene"? I wonder if that's why he really couldn't sing after his '84 "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking"?)

He doesn't listen to American music, he might know Mike Patton from having been compared to him a lot but everything you hear from him comes out of himself. His musical example early in the day is Kiyoharu of Kuroyume, his deeper death growls really don't come in til after the time they first toured the US, already seven years into the existence of his current band.

Trust me on this one. He may not "listen to" american music (and that is fine),
but he clearly... crystal clearly knows more of Mikey than what he has gained
via having been compared to him.

I am not saying his vocals do not come from him.
I am not saying he isn't feeling it. I am not saying he isn't great at it.
But, yeah... if he ever tells you he is not influenced by Mike Patton,
tell him that you are not stupid and walk away chortling.

Deal?

Nope. That guy's really very very close to his traditional background. Though he did sing with Apocalyptica.

The woman who sings with Noisettes. Check this scream out at about 1:30. Don't forget to turn it up!

Yes, I am not saying he isn't. I think you may be misunderstanding me here.
But, hey - I found this thing:

Kyo is a unique vocalist which many try to copy but are never very successful. He writes all lyrics (he once said he will never write a song with a happy ending; he also doesn´t like to talk about the content of his lyrics, saying he doesn't write them for anybody in particular). On stage, Kyo puts on an expansive show for the fans. One minute he may be inflicting cuts on his chest, wrists and screaming the next he may be running around or playing dead. Kyo also has a fetish for vomiting numerous things (pudding, fake blood, raw eggs). He hates being called "cute" or "-chan" and likes to think of himself as scary. His nickname, Warumono, means "bad person" and is the name of his favorite manga.

bad person tell fib about patton influence.

I have no idea why I typed that last sentence like that.

I think this belongs in Rock singer with the best operatic scream,
alongside Brucey Dickinson and Kim Bendix Petersen.

Just sayin'.

He doesn't cut himself anymore. He did that up to 2007 and one time in 2009 when his voice failed during a concert. Nowadays he's more into heavy make-up, like in their early visual kei days but darker.

My favourite scream btw is the one from the 1978 English movie The Shout.

Close second is the one Tim Curry did in Oliver Twist, but I can't find that one online.

Ah yes, that is great. Thank you for the introduction.
"Warning: Don't set the volume too loud when watching the clip!" Haha, indeed.
