While it's likely that the misdiagnose of cancer at its early stages could be blamed more on the doctors rather than the subtleties of illness, there's no evidence to suggest that the doctors were deliberately misdiagnosing him for all these years. It's likely that the problem with these doctors could be summed up with the lyrics of either "Flakes" (they don't do no good...you can stab and shoot and spit/but they won't be fixing it) or "Cocaine Decisions" (you're a doctor or a lawyer...From the stuff you're stickin' in it/I get madder every day/'Cause what you do 'n what you say/Affects my life in such a way). In other words, it's either incompetence or drugs or both that would cause doctors to misdiagnose something that is actually diagnosable.

If they really would've wanted to get rid of Frank, they would've probably found a faster way to do away with him. Or at least riddle him with AIDS, rather than prostate cancer.

For crying out load! He had problems peeing for years before his diagnosis, but was never properly checked because prostate cancer rarely hits men in their late 30s. So he had it for years before it was diagnosed, and before he became more poitically outspoken. That was also why this type of cancer, which otherwise has the highest successrate in terms of being cured, was deadly for him. It was discovered to late.

As far as I am aware Frank has been politically outspoken since always. The Porn Wars affair was pretty much middle 80s. Some people might not have liked a lot of this eloquent, intelligent personality actively questioning the govt's/medias oligopoly's positions so articulately.
