Any way the Trend blows is a boring guarantee...

Check out 40 years ago today under Zappa Concerts, catch Trendy expounding on the school yard agenda. Some things never change.

It's an acquired taste. Masochists and students of aberrant states of mind get off on his pootage.

I doubt it. He probably never wanted to interact with others because he felt he was above them.

But yeah I struggle to read the dribble he spews onto the web. He really writes lots without saying anything.

Nope BBP...but sounds like it could do with a re-telling. I'd love to hear it!

I re-joined about 4 1/2 years ago, at that time he was still a normal member but people would dress him down for stuff he wrote and he would go back and forth with people...and it seemed like he had been around a while and some people really new him...then the wheels just fell off, one thing I know he has always been long winded... :!:

A hundred letters where ten would do... :x

A hundred words where ten would do... :(

A hunred paragraphs where ten would do...

That's a lot of do do...

It was such a long time ago, I'm not even sure whether we lost it in the 2005 Forum Crash or whether it got deleted after my 2003 breakdown.
There was a Trendmonger and a Trendm0nger that you shouldn't mix up. One of the two related to us on how he went to a Zappa concert with a vacuum cleaner hose, and sang in one end while holding the other end to his ear, so he could hear his own singing. And that's when I made that drawing.
I'll check Archive.org, maybe it's still over there... :)

That's our Trendmonger (aka Gary Titone). He bragged about it over at DZW not that long ago. He refers to himself as one of New York's finest crazy people.

Trendm0nger was pretty stuck on himself. He claimed that he and Unica were superior to all other Zappa fans.

There was a trendm0nger and this Trendmonger. The one with the zero in his name did post some cool stuff in the Memorabilia thread.

I had brought along a vacuum cleaner hose so I could sing along to each song of the show. Front and center mission accomplished. It had been only a few weeks ago at the Palladium where I sang the German verse of "Stick It Out" during an interview I did for MTV so this time, while modified, I wanted to hear for myself what it would sound like to sing with Zappa. For those in need of this form of NYC Finest Crazy Type Person live in NY concert activity what you do is stick one end in your mouth and the other end in your ear and you can hear yourself sing with the band. It's a way of life. Not to over speculate on upcoming releases but by this time Frank was videotaping some of his shows so one has to wonder if the ZFT will ever release this show on CD with a little video surprise. Seek the path to Zappa.com for official information of the feasibility of such. Al Dimeola was the special guest so anyone that has been following the history that also adds some questions regarding what may or may not present itself.

Oh sweet Jesus, thats just pathetically needy. "Look at me, look at me, I'm singing into a vacuum hose and I'm just...like... ker-razzeee!" (and not at all contrived). Mind you, he may have been closer to the truth then he realised. If he held one end over his ear and put the other end up his ass, he'd have experienced what normal people hear when they talk to him or try to read his stupid fucken posts.

Next he'll claim that's how Frank got the idea for the cover of The Grand Wazoo.
