Hello there,

There are many fake YS posters around Europe.
I have spent so much money and still not sure of owning the original!
Now I ask you to help me, please ...

- What's the real size of the original poster sold into theaters?

- The date inside the logo "KONZERTHAUS WIEN" is (26. +27. SEPT.) or is (26. 27. 28. SEPT.) as I read in my Tourbook Program Libretto?

- I also have a color copy printed on cardboard that comes from Austria. Sizes are 32.92 "x 46.74", it's a fake?

- in a video I saw some YS cardboard posters resting on Frank's piano. Was I dreaming?

FZ sharks make me crazy, help me please!

Music is the best!

I have one that looks like this:

http://www.gemm.com/store/MAMMA/item/ZAPPA-FRANK-ENSEMBLE-MODERN-THE-YELLOW-SHARK-GERMAN-ORIGINA-CARD-LARGE-TOUR-PROMO-POSTER-MEMORABILI/1433345997

approx. 33 x 46

Can't recall how I came upon it. But I do not believe it is a rerelease.

Hello PappaZappa,

I bought my YS-poster from the official merch-guys at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Germany, after the third and final Frankfurt-performance of The Yellow Shark in 1992. I had it stored in its original tube for years, but somehow it got lost. However, I remember that it was a jumbo-sized poster made of rather thick paper. Not really cardboard, but close to being cardboard. I can't remember if it stated all european performance-dates of the YS-concerts, but I certainly remember that it looked exactly like the poster that you had seen sitting on Frank's piano in that video. But much larger in size.

The T-Shirts sold at the concerts were even more spectacular, especially the blue ones featuring the yellow shark. Unfortunately my former boyfriend took them all when I urged him to leave.
