I think it's great that you guys are so young and out there! I grew up in the 70's and we knew what was going on in music was very special. I never thought it would come to an end but it sure the fuck did. I think it's a matter of everyone self educating everyone else because the media sure the fuck aint gwine uh do it!
Keep up the fight!
Gonna disagree with you there, Huck.
The Media has been the main source of education in America since the '50s. It just rapidly turned into a putrid cesspool of the worst shit imaginable once it became mainly a visual medium. As for
watching music that's a whole lot like
listening to a painting and
smelling a book.
About 15 years ago some
extremely popular "pop artist" put in a promo appearance at what was the #1 music/video outlet in town, now long defunct, and the local TV stations covering this momentous event asked the crowd about what they thought of this bland major music star's new #1 hit off her new CD release and a girl about 14 said,
"But is isn't a song yet! How can it be a song without a video?" I can't forget that one! So,
music has become the background "movie music" that accompanies the visual excitement.
