If you could do a FZ song on karaoke , which one would you do? I've got two favourite "singalong-a-frank" songs - "Dumb All Over" & "Montana". There's also the opportunity to completely lose the plot during a massive face-gurning air guitar solo. I'd have to be sufficiently tanked up for a start though......

I'd do "My Guitar Wants To Kill your Mama". Any of the Ruben songs would work, too (at least, the ones I've heard).

I'd like to do the FZ version of "4'33".

There was a bar I used to go to that featured karaoke, and had a book of the songs you could sing to. One was---Dinah-Moe Humm :o :o!! I never attempted it--most people got squirmy enough when this one guy did Aqualung. I called 1818pumpkin and they were VERY interested .

i've always plan to learn by heart "i'm dancing fooo ooo oool, i'm a- dancing fooo ooo ooo oool", but never crossedthe written lyric with audio in the same time...the reason why this one is that i'm a crazy dancer.... even in public....i can as well becoome a crazy singer now....

otherwise, i would terribly enjoy to do "montana". And if I were more familiar to it, I would also try some of JOe's garage....

i keep dinah moe hum for my private room.

I have actually sung Dinah Mo Hum twice to karaoke. Here, in the Midwest, this 'activity' is quite popular. Most people quit talking and just watched me when I sung it. If I could choose another song to sing, it'd be Trouble Every Day.

I've done both Dinah-Moe Hum and Dirty Love at karaoke. When you're vocalizing, it's okay, but the instrumental breaks really suck...
Oh, and for some inexplicable reason on Dirty Love, the Ikettes "Awww, Frenchie" is changed to "Awww, FLUFFY". Inexplicable because the ending is still "C'mon Frenchie, snap it".
SOFA

Whoever said Billy the Mountain. Lol. That would be funny to see. I think the best song would have to be Dont Eat the Yellow Snow.

I, too, have sung Dinah Moe Hum (the only Zappa tune on the sing list). It was Christmas Eve at a little bar with a small crowd here in Long Beach, CA. It might have been the hit of the evening.

I have always had this dream of singing 'uncle remus' for some reason. Maybe if I had some powerful vocals, I would try 'doreen' - sounds good to me in the shower

I sing "Wonderful Wino" and "Bamboozled By Love" with my band, both good bluesy shouters. Never done FZ karaoke, though I've seen "Dinah Moe" on their lists.
