Fuckin' Heroin.......

Why oh why do people go anywhere near heroin or meth etc? It's no secret what can happen, the shit does exactly what it says on the tin:
Takeeee Meeee, and I'll take your money, family, liberty and eventually whats left of your life....

How does a sensible person knowing the facts say "Oh yes please I'll have some of that"

I know it's a simplistic view, but it can't hurt you if you don't take it, why the fuck would you take it?

First, Mr. Schell, then Mr. Rankin, Jr. (ah, my childhood!) Now, Phillip Seymour Hoffman...such a shock and a shame and a fucking waste of talent. Like others, I knew I was in for a good film if only I saw his name in the credits.

Happiness, Twister, Almost Famous, Boogie Nights, The Big Lebowski, Capote...the list goes on and on and he had so many more roles in the future he could have brought to life, his portrayals were so real and true, as if he really WAS that character. On FB, such luminaries as Ian Mckellam, Kevin Spacey and on and on went on to express their sorry at this loss. I'm reminded of a indie film he did many years back (the title escapes me) that was one of the very few he was in that I didn't enjoy so much...he portrayed a widower who turns to huffing to numb his pain...what pain was he trying to numb with heroin? He was at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival just a few years ago, and those there said what a humble man he was. So saddened by this loss.

don't forget 'doubt' and 'the master'. great movies and he was awesome in both of them. just as great as he was in 'capote'. and he was really good in '25th hour' too.

The coincidence is that Shirley Temple had an indirect link to The Beatles who celebrate their 50th anniversary this week. She appeared a couple of times in some way on the Sgt. Pepper album cover if I'm not out of my tree.

Future Melvins bassist Lori “Lorax” Black and her mother, onetime child actress Shirley Temple Black, meet the Beatles.

She died under suspicious circumstances, police currently believe it's murder or manslaughter.
