RIP Johnny :(
I was very lucky to see him stand up for the encore in Ulm 3 years ago.
He only played while sitting for a long time, but he played the encore while standing as a kind of compensation because he had to cancel a concert at the same place some years before.

Kapt. Kiirk and I saw Johnny just over 3 months ago. He was frail but was still playing well. Unfortunately we were in the back of the room in a crappy sounding venue. I wish I could have seen him under better circumstances.

Can't we just agree on this without having to fuck the Ramones :?:

I'll agree to that.

When The Rockford Files premiered I was an instant fan. This was how I was introduced to James Garner. I always liked that he was able to use his head and a sense of humor and a Trans Am to get out of tough situations. Of course The Great Escape and Support Your Local Sheriff are also in the top 10 list of his films. I suppose there must only be one member left from The Great Escape. Even that astronaut film which he co-starred with Clint Eastwood and Donald Sutherland was entertaining. Thanks Mr G.

Yep, that's very sad. I still like the Rockford Files. And his movies, too. Great actor with a special sense of humor ....

Yes there is no doubt that most of us here being of a certain age have enjoyed much of James Garners body of work…

But I too must say that the Rockford Files was just a gift of a show for a young man…my favorite thing was the business card kit he kept in his glove box of his car…some of the best episodes included his Lawyer on the show Beth, they had natural chemistry… :smoke:

Depending on your belief system, and provided his payments were up to date, Johnny went upstairs
