Guys, please stop this pointless arguing about a tour long since past...
Frank is dead :'(, but even if he were'nt do you think he'd suddenly say,"Hey! I was wrong in '88! I will get the group back together, that's what I'll do...everyone but that mean widdle Scott. Yeah, that sounds right." Please. He was done with touring after that band, and probably even before he left, most likely he was thinking of leaving touring behind him. You can't change the past, and we are at least left with some great music from it, so let's be grateful for that and let this matter Rest In Peace with Frank.
That fact is that it was impossible to continue the tour under the circumstances. Gail pm'ed me last night and she seemed to confirm briefly what I was talking about. But since you're being such an asshole, I'm not sharing what she said to me with you...
Okay, I'm an asshole, and you're acting like a spoiled child. Suits me fine.

Okay -- what do you mean with "under the circumstances"? If you mean : it couldn't continue in the form it started, you are right of course, I never denied that. If you mean "he couldn't have continued it in an altered form", you are wrong, except for the possibility that Zappa was feeling to tired/sick due to his illness. But then again, if it would be that last thing, his refusal to continue the tour wouldn't have much to do with Thunes, but with the big C. In which case you're starting point falls flat, again.
You don't really believe that I was being serious, do you?
At that moment, when the band fell apart around him, I also believe that Zappa just wanted to go home and get on with something more constructive.

It would probably have been really great, though, to see Zappa live, alone with the Synclavier (and, as slime said, with a guitar...).
I was as serious as you. I think it would have been a good idea. Why wouldn't I be serious?
