My iPod smells like
A turtle and it is green
Ha Ha I'm joking

It's so cold outside
It's frozen through to my brain
Thus the last haiku

We're in the ballpark
And the view is just fine thanks
I caught a foul ball

We're in the ballpark
Unexpected Perfection
Is not found in here

Trendy has bread crumbs
Leading the way to his brain
But the trail ended

Good Lord, haiku is supposed to be graceful. :x

Trend-borg is more suitable for limericks.

Limerick? mm-kaay

There once was a man named Gary
Whose devotion to Zappa was scary
Wouldn't be much longer
Before he became Trendmonger
And turned into the forum's adversary

That's the spirit. Now start a new thread. :)

PS: I would change the last line to

And turned into the forum's pink fairy

I seriously considered "fairy" for the final rhyme, but the term doesn't really fit in TM's case. He's 100% MANLY.

So that's what "managamos" means!

Well feets, after years of careful consideration, I'm of the opinion that it's better to fit the manly to the limerick than the limerick to the manly.

May we enjoy manly happy hours of manly limericking in our new limerick thread in the manly year of 2008.

Cheers, my manly brother!

There once was a poster from Setauket
Couldn't post a pic so said fuck it.
So he wrote this little ditty instead:
"Ode To Paddy"

Back in the day. Back in the days of old.
They told Paddy Ryan the streets were paved with gold.
So he got on the plane, and he jetted to Mullen's Pub.
He had no idea how many dishes he would scrub.
A few years later he became a bartender.
He started makin' money an beceame the big spender.
He made people wait for their Heineken brew.
Then O'Hearn came in an he ordered beef stew.
Cool people came in who were on the scene.
But Ryan always dissed them cause he was fuckin' mean.
Then his brother came in, needed money for some smoke.
He said "I'd love to help you, but I'm Fuckin' broke".

The first word in this limerick is discorporate
It means I can't think of anything that rhymes with it.

The legal system
Self perpetuating bull
Draining all our funds

Smooth peanut butter
It's much better than chunky
And it won't cause death

Death comes to us all
Give in to the dark dark night
Or don't, I don't care

Soft furry kitties
Flying high above the clouds
Lay off the Kool-Aid

When things get ugly
Nothing can quite cheer me up
Like some dumb haikus

This forum will soon
collapse under the weight of
old, musty, dead threads.

In the wake of this tantrum
I miss Trendmonger

I can never think
Of how many syllables
A damn haiku is.
