Sheesh  Bonny, what ARE you TALKing about? Like, OhmiGAWD, what does 'handflute' mean in your dictionary? Where you put two hands together in front of your mouth maybe and the whistle sound that you direct with your hands while you blow??? Tho I've seen that done all sorts of places, like Appalachian Bluegrass festivals, say, but not very often and never heard it often enough to hear Bobby Brown!!!!!! Am I hopelessly lost in a Candid Camera episode from 30 years ago?

Yep! Those wonderful owl sounds! I used to spend a lot of time tooting when I was 14 or so, and could do a pretty accurate Pink Panther theme. It's still used sometimes... the most recent one I can remember was in a Dutch comedy show around 2000.

Say Bat, ever tried playing hand-flute? I used to play Bobby Brown on that (nice and easy) but it made everybody nuts...
No luck there, Bon. But I just now re-discovered my bottom teeth can do some and the first thing to come out was Mr. Green Genes! (THE SONG!)

Wow!

PS Today I went to the movie Crusade in Jeans (will be known under a different name in the US) where handflute was used. Surprising!

Whistle that? Most of it is spoken or semi-spoken.

I don't really see how the forum has changed. It's always seemed like this - uneventful. But why do I keep coming back?

What's it gonna be Chicken, Beef or Turkey?

Actually it's David Lettermans Stupid Pet Tricks where the entire Animal Farm is going to whistle and sing. Now the tour manager has all the tickets and just as they make there way through the secrurity monitors the scanners can see all the cow cod rings beneath all the fur we can hear each one of the criters whislte the intro to.

Would You Like A Snack?

Went on the road
For a month touring
What a drag
You gotta go
Even if you'd rather be at home
Flaked out
In Hollywood
Drove to Inglewood and then we dumped
All our shit into the plane at five-O-three
(What's it gonna be?)
Chicken, beef or turkey?
La La La La
Would you like a snack?

"Which Zappa Themes can you accurately whistle?"

Define "accurately".

Ah, fuck matty! I like to whistle tunes (I know, some people think it is stupid), and I like Zappa. I'd like to discuss it here. Fuck you if you don't like my hat!

Today I caught myself whistling The Dog Breath Variations, and I remembered this thread.

One day I will post one of my performances here!

All of them except "It Can't Happen Here," that I have to sing, or at least hum.
