I was out walking the dog earlier tonite and i was just walking back down the street when i heard a strange noise behind me thats getting closer and closer , so i turned around to see the back end of a car right up my arse veer away from me just at the right time and proceed to smack right into my works van.
Then i realise there's nobody driving the fucking thing. WTF! I just stood there for a second thinking how lucky i was, looking about me to see if anybody's looking. I'm thinking i'm on candid camera or something but nobody appears. So i go over to see what the damage is, just the back bumper as far as i'm concerned but the 'Ghost car' has a dented back door and smashed number plate, still nobody appears, so i call the police and they come down to do a check on the car to find out the owner then go and inform him. So this old guy comes running up with his Bart Simpson slippers on to check out the damage to his car, appologisies and the police tick him of about leaving his hand brake off and after exchanging insurance details, that was that.

Nothing. I just got up now - circa 10 pm. I'm such a lazy, nocturnal cunt.

Thank you very much, Bon! I've had extractions, crowns, bondings, fillings, etc., but never lost any front teeth. These are the ones that show and it's almost like going around with no nose!

Very new experience for me!

That's a big bummer Bat. Get a second opinion?
But at the risk of sounding trite, remember when you lost teeth as a kid? When they were gone, tho it felt funny, you soon forgot about it, right?
same thing'll happen. You'll get a new routine of cleaning the falsies is the only real difference. As far as feeling like an old toothless fill-in-the-blank, no worries, the attitude will fall away . . . too. It's all in yer head. And if it doesn't, then you'll get more practice than some feeling old , which can be seen like a benefit
Sucks! No opinions left but, "The uppers all gotta go." I'll forget soon about feeling like Grandpa Moses' older brother, especially thinking about people who haven't had any natural teeth since they were in their teens and early 20s! (My sis was 24 getting her uppers out!)

"Dr. E." is an artist along with a doc of dental surgery: you never know what he's going to say, how he's going to act, he's definitely NOT NORMAL -- but for him perfection is not good enough!

well, I had two job offers today. I'm still working at this one place, but I've been looking for something better...

one of the offers was really bad, but the other one was really good.

so, I'm going to go with the 'other' one. more pay and more personal freedom.

I guess I'm pretty lucky, huh? :P

well, this new place I'm starting at are doing mostly digital print.
brochures, folders, posters... things like that. smaller runs.

and also graphic design.

I don't think they print magazines, but I can look into it, if you'd like?

thanx Lump, but my hunch on that end would be just a comparative exercise, as you live really in a different part of the country. I won't be contracting any work just yet  but say for shits & giggles how much might an eight-pane, glossy pamphlet run of 5000 go for?
. . .

interesting work,, I used to be a press operator in the Flexographic package printing industry for about 27 years ( so was Pedro 1 ),, just about anything you've ever bought that was wrapped up in some sort of packaging, I've probably printed,,

and then, the packaging ends up in the garbage,,

I walked under a ladder to see if I would have different luck. So far: same luck.

Took my blood pressure to new heights.

Then I had a couple of violent daydreams.

I walked into a musicstore with my mind set at this would be a small storagekind of thing. But ... WHAM! It was a real killer! They had it all! Guitars, synths, amps an masse! This was to be a nice and easy lunchbreak stroll and it turned me upside down. Now I will go home and go through their catalog and begin to dream about my new career.

Awesome!

Turned off the lights, tried to climb in bed, missed the bed and fell down, got some grazes and bruises. Also I had a test, which went OK.
