True, true... high heels are murder on your body. Back in ancient Egypt, butchers would wear high heels so they wouldn't slip on animal blood.
(ps Scheila: it's "its entirety". Sorry for nitpicking but it's my favourite hobby)

It will happen Mr. Plook.

We just returned from an amazing 8 week tour performing "The Roxy & Elsewhere" album. It was an unforgettable jaunt playing great music with great people all over the world! Zappa Plays Zappa is now setting up shop at the intimate Roxy venue in Los Angeles for three nights, December 7th, 8th and 9th to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this iconic album. On each of the 3 nights we will play the "Roxy & Elsewhere" in it’s entirety and then present uniquely different post "Roxy" sets. Come out and join the party!

Oh yaaa... :smoke:

Was supposed to go to a chocolate tasting event on Saturday, but unfortunately the chocolate people cancelled. So now it's just a tapas workshop.
Oh well. Since I heard Tim Curry had his first public event a few weeks ago, I'm too happy to let my day be ruined by that.

Somebody stole the Christmas lights off our fence.

I guess they really needed some Christmas joy... :|

That's happened to me before MFT. Seems as though we have a new hooligan holiday: Trick or Christmas

I like it: it effectively bypasses all that "Peace on Earth" bullshit...

Originally Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote Gimmie Back my Lightbulbs (for just such an occasion). Their manager flatly rejected it as having no commercial potential so they gave it a page 1 rewrite.

Today I learned I've only read about 5% of a list of 1001 books. Must spend less time on the web.

A good day indeed! I went on healthcare.gov and narrowed my family of three's options under the ACA. Turns out, we will pay $500 to $700 LESS per month than we are currently paying, with better coverage, keeping our doctors and getting all of our generic drugs covered.

I found the site to be logical and easy to move around in, but I haven't actually bought a policy so I can't evaluate that yet.

Not bad.

Well, I finally got around to nailing down my family's Obamacare situation. We are done with the process and cancelled our previous policy. We have virtually the same coverage we had before, with the added benefit of dental care for all 3 of us. We are paying $600 less than before. The site wasn't perfect, and it took about 1.5 hrs to set everything up. A little frustrating but in the end not a big deal. A pleasant dose of reality that the Obamacare obstructionists don't want you to know about.

Mrs.Plook had two large bunnies she would put out for Easter on the porch (she decorates the porch for all holidays and seasons, kinda started a fad in the hood) and someone nabbed them ;last year, our area is extremely low crime...maybe a one off...drunk kids or something... :smoke:

Did you subsequently receive any photographs of the bunnies on vacation?

Back in about 1982 a garden gnome (fishing Bob) was stolen from a friends uncles neighbours ex sister inlaws garden. About a week after Bob disappeared the dried up husk of a woman started receiving wish you were here type postcards signed Bob, which were being posted from various locations around the world: US, India, France, Great Britain. Bob reappeared about eight weeks later in his usual fishing spot in the garden. About a week after Bobs return the husk received 25 photos of the gnome fishing in the famous cities of the world, no pics of Bob's hometown in China though. Oh and husk never ever found out who gnomenapped Bob.....

It's got bitter ex husband spending the trust fund written all over it.
