Found out I got through the preliminaries of a spelling contest. Thanked the friend who gave me the tip. She didn't get through.

Baclava you mean? Yes that's definitely something that qualifies as "sweet".

Yesterday I worked all day cooking for about 100 assholes and then come home and got drunk while opening presents my wife got me. Today I am regretting the drinking as I'm about to go back to work.

It takes you to the more interesting stories reported about the MOI and FZ over the years starting from MOI's 1st tour of England. So it sez a lot. Good reading. :D

Got linked up to Tim Curry on the Robert Klein hour in 1979, listened to it and found Flo & Eddie were also being interviewed. Nothing spectacular but cool!

Spent hours in town yesterday, trying to find a piece of black string. Never thought getting a simple piece of string could be that hard.

Unloaded an over the road backhaul truck yesterday at work. Signed the driver's bill, and carried it out to him. A few minutes later he walks back into the plant, stuck out his hand for a shake, and introduced himself. Turns out we had the same first and last names. So, I met myself yesterday. I'm a truck driver from Illinois.

Anybody want some string beans?

Decided to go to a local museum with the kids. They were really reluctant and were overjoyed when they found that the museum was closed. As indeed were most of the shops in town. Why? It's not a bank holiday.
Comforted by a beer and the thought that I'm making a four course meal this evening. Salad, then snails for starters, followed by a Daube (a French stew that needs to cook for 7 hours) and some surprise pudding the wife is making.
At 12 'o'clock, we'll be atop a local hill, firing off around 20 fireworks. Happy New Year one and all.

Went for a family meal in Stratford-upon-Avon. I actually skipped the meal to go and play some guitars in the shop across the road, and then to find some CDs.
ONLY ONE FZ CD IN TOWN!!!

They'd hunt ya down and shoot ya for that out here. It's too dry, it's a fire danger. The little fireworks they do sell are as exciting as sparklers. They call them safe and sane. Freakin' boring is what they is. Back away 20 ft. and you can't see them. City of tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, fireworks. Nooo shiiiit! I expect the usual gunfire and a few trumpets blowing around town. But fireworks...heaven forbid we might start a fire and burn our face!

Have a Happy New Year one and all! :D

Went to a friend for NYE party, and when I phoned my family to wish them a happy new year, it turned out my best friend had come to my place and brought a present.
