I will - we've still got another week of farting around, though.

Nothing happened, nothing at all. I should be at the Dodger's game right now but instead I'm stuck at home while the plumber rips open my wall.

First I read in my Hiroshima book. After the copious amounts of information on American intelligence and security, I reached the bomb damage section... I had to put it down after reading of the intense heat flash that caused people outside to burn on the spot, people inside getting the dark patterns of their clothes burned into their skin, people's skin getting such completely burned that it peels off when people try to help them...

And then I read in the newspaper of Wool Against Weapons: knitting a huge pink scarf to protest the UK plan to invest 80 billion pounds into renewal of their atomic weapons.

Guys: get over your fear of pink and knit against A-bombs! http://www.woolagainstweapons.co.uk/

Spread the word!

I did a solo gig a local festival. The PA was breaking up / going on / off for most of it, but through the monitors it sounded great, so I just carried on and had IMO a pretty decent show.
TT

Got to watch our new neighbor, Robin, as she started to build her nest in the tree about 20 feet from the porch. I hope she'll enjoy the music.

Yesterday I was driving down to Biarritz. Lot's of traffic going down to spain or wherever. Then this car comes up behind me tailgates for a second and then starts honking the horn and flashing the lights. I can see smiling faces of twentysomthing guys and gals. As the car pulls out and passes me with the windows down, they are all yelling and giving me a thumbs up!
It took me a couple of km to find the explanation.

It was just another car full of German Zappa Fans!! Yeah baby!

Lovely!

Eindhoven just became a little more famous as it's the airport where the MH17 victims landed. TV is currently showing impressive footage of a convoy of 40 limousines, on the normally very busy A2 highway on their way to Hilversum. People gather by the roadside and on the bridges, and are applauding and throwing flowers on this national day of mourning.

Went to the supermarket. Supermarkets decided not to play any music, very unusual.
