Well, the whole bass riff throughout, "He's So Gay" is same as the riff throughout Donna Summer's "I Feel Love".

Is there any particular story behind Frank's cover of Yes' Owner of a Lonely Heart, besides it being a hit back then?

"Rock you like a nincompoop!" Seems a touch Scorpions to me.

SO nice I can still discover or at least connect some details after so many years listening to Zappa's massive catalogue. I am hearing the Absolutely Free vinyl and just became aware of the L'Histoire du Soldat quote from Stravinsky, that would be later repeated on Make a Jazz Noise here!

When Jimmy Carl Black played with Eugene Chadbourne, they used to play the music of Hey Joe while Jimmy sang the lyrics of Flower Punk.

I was listening to the Buffalo album and during Honey Don'cha Want A Man Like Me after Frank says, "He had an Irish Setter" he threw in a couple measures of an Irish jig. Funny.

Been over on the IINK site i see
"includes quotes from The Irish Washerwoman (Trad.)"
http://globalia.net/donlope/fz/lyrics/B ... html#Honey

I don't think that is the Irish washerwoman And i not sure the it is Irish neither
The Fiddler's Companion
http://www.ceolas.org/cgi-bin/ht2/ht2-f ... asherwoman

It's a different song from the Late 60s-70s cant think what the Fuck it is though.
i remember posting when Buffalo was released asking what song it was played on Honey Don't You Want A Man Like Me.
there was nothing on iink then about it :smoke:

Nah I knew that. Been looking for the name of that tune for years and finally found it through the Benny Hill article on Wikipedia.

The beginning march of "welcome to the united states" is the "Narhalla Marsch", a regulary part of the german carnival. This event is a conclusion of highly organised drunks, that need to be told when they have to laugh:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPPDrXHjJx8
The "Tusch" is also a part of the carnival ceremony, it is played when Hermann and Frank are announced (is it something like "tush tush tush"?). Franks hat is also an original german carnival hat. If u don t like it, u can call him the grand wazoo.

Locate the Benny Hill show theme tune. It's got a fragment of Fucik.
