Yeah, okay. I was being a dick. Sorry. The thing is, I really love Soft Machine and as soon as Holdsworth joined the band, the whole thing was suddenly all about him showing off how fast he could play scales. Actually..... they probably started to slide because the last original member finally left.

i think most of floating world live is very good.

i used to think everything Allan played sounded the same. When I spent some time with his music I realized he is a brilliant composer. He also does things on a guitar no one else can. I like the way he weaves sophisticated jazz phrasing and chords into his own recognizable sound.
