Great cover of the whole song Echoes.

A faithful version of the Pink Floyd classic "Echoes" from the "Meddle" album performed by Guy Heller, Bill Fowler, Mickey Melchiondo, Ray Kubian, Sean Faust, and Chris Williams. We grew up watching "Live at Pompeii" all the time and finally got to execute this song properly.

Finally got a chance to listen to the whole thing. I like it. Only caveat is that I wish the lows extended lower. It sounds like it was mixed on headphones, which turned out fine except for the bass frequencies.

Too bad the vocals are buried, but otherwise great  And it makes me want to share another amazing Ween moment, from a show I saw (Oslo, 1997) --

Dean Ween is the best but I'm completely sick of Echoes. I'm sure it's very well done. I don't have the patience.
Second Hand Smoker is just as good...

It's good to see that Mickey will be touring and recording as http://www.thedeanweengroup.com since Aaron seems to have hung it up. I like the Moistboyz thing but that's like taking the heaviest, most obnoxious side of Ween (about 10% of the Ween pie) and making that the whole act. I'm expecting the DWG to be more Ween-like. I've read they will be performing "Ween classics" on tour plus whatever's going to be on the first DWG album. Ween is an all-time top five band for me and the only one on the list whose members were younger than me. I miss my Ween.

I hope you're right. Rock and Roll retirements do have a long history of being pretty tenuous.

This is an awesome cover, little too much of the organ solo around the 10 min mark though.
Can not wait til 6/27 to see DWG opening for Primus. Really hope Deaner & Primus jam together. Who knows, one of these shows this year there could be a Spinal Tap moment where Gener watching from side-stage gets the nod and joins on stage and Ween as we knew it resumes.

DWG booked a local Chicago Festival show on August 23. Its a Saturday, so that sounds like a lock for me, especially with a suggested $10 fee!

I also want to see Freeman in September, looking forward to his new album.
