I've heard numerous London bands playing Zappa stuff
in their sets. Stuff like the 'bamboozled by love' riff
or 'Elvis Has Just Left The Building.....'
or 'What's The Ugliest part of your Body'

Rare but there....for those who know it.

I have heard 'Chunga's Revenge' played as incidental music a couple of times on random tv programmes

I once heard the melody of Peaches en Regalia played on cheesy synths in a Norwegian TV commercial. And also Watermelon in Easter Hay as incidental music in a doc about whales, I suddenly recall.

I heard Chunga Revenge cover on TV a day or too ago,sound like Gotan Project.It was on some cook program and the went french cuisine with CR over the top :wink:

A film from 1997, Happy Together by Wong Kar-Wai, has the opening of Chunga's Revenge (Zappa CR album version) almost as a theme song - recurring again and again. The soundtrack also has I Have Been In You, if memory serves me well. Good movie!
