In 1988 I met Frank Zappa. I asked him where is Urban Gwerder? He said that he is up in the mountains somewhere with his Sheep/Goats.

He wrote his book Alla Zappa in 1976, which had a couple of printings. He then sold his collection of FZ items. If anyone has a copy of this book could they please find the letter FZ wrote in 1968 to UG. I would like to see it again. If it can't be posted here please send it to:

This is all new to me. Is the book a collection of things from UGs (?) Hot Raz Times publication? Seems like there have bunch of different issues in fairly large numbers (see link below). Is it hard to find? It it in English? Thanks.

It seems to be rather hard to find, especially when I discover that it went through 3 printings with several thousand copies therein. It is not simply the 'best of' Hot Raz times. There are quite a few seldom seen photo's.

I remember having bought it in the 70s from a company called Volksverlag which offered several left-wing publications being advertised in Sounds. I still have it and it looks equally yellowish just like Fritz's.
